DELAMORE LODGE ~ MEDIA RESOURCES ~ MEDIA INFORMATION
Location:
Delamore Drive on Waiheke Island, just a 35 minute ferry ride with Fullers Ferry which departs from Downtown Auckland, upon arrival at Matiatia wharf Waiheke,the lodge is a short 5 minute drive - all guests receive transportation from the ferry terminal to the lodge. Alternatively the car ferry can be caught from Half Moon Bay at the Sealink terminal. The lodge also has a helipad onsite and can be reached by helicopter directly from the domestic/international airport or from downtown Auckland in approx 8- 10 minutes.
Accommodation:
There are 4 Luxury Suites, all with spectacular sea views, overlooking the Hauraki Gulf, the very best in fittings and decor with enormous bathrooms offering deep luxurious bathtubs.
Each suite has it's own private outdoor area offering a tranquil retreat to savour the views and the setting of this special place.
Facilities:
The lodge is set on the side of a ridge overlooking Owhanake Bay, there are extensive and beautifully manicured grounds to enjoy. There are also beauty therapy/massage treatment rooms, a sauna and large spa pool, several outdoor areas where guests can sit and enjoy the views and ambience of the lodge. Guests can relax in the library or lounge area and soak up the ambience of beauty.
Events:
At select times of the year Delamore Lodge in conjunction with local Man O'War Vineyards host an exclusive winemakers dinner where guests can enjoy an outstanding degustation menu prepared by Aaron Smith the onsite chef at Delamore Lodge. Each course is introduced by the winemaker from Man O'War Vineyards and matched with an appropriate wine. These are very intimate and special evenings for no more than 16 guests. The next event is planned for early 2009 and is expected to be in high demand.
Intimate Wedding Events are also a specialty, where the family/friends can stay for a few nights and enjoy the preparation and special day.
Delamore works with approved local vineyards for the larger reception parties.
