Guest Suites

Delamore Lodge is a 5-star luxury accommodation located at Owhaneke Bay, Waiheke Island. We offer the ultimate in luxury with four suites and one, two-bedroom apartment — all north facing — designed to maximise the magical views of the ever-changing Hauraki Gulf of New Zealand.

Awatea Suite —‘first light’

The Awatea Suite is a tranquil retreat, cocooned within the sanctuary of Delamore Lodge.

From the blissful comfort of your Californian-king bed, enjoy the majestic and, seemingly, endless views of the Hauraki Gulf, the gateway to the City of Sails, with its outer islands, yachts and cruise liners — a visual feast.

In the Maori language Awatea translates to ‘first light.’ Step down from the bedroom into the lounge area and soak up the ambience created by the soft natural tones and hand-plastered walls that reflect perfectly the natural Waiheke landscape.

There is a patio that provides complete privacy from neighbours — an ideal spot to dine, bask in the sun and appreciate the landscaped gardens and views.

Extraordinary attention to detail has been taken to ensure your comfort. The suite is equipped with the finest linen sheeting, luxury robes and slippers and comfortable plump armchairs — and a ready supply freshly-baked biscuits.

The Awatea Suite features a magnificent rain shower — great for tall people — and deep bath, designed to maximise complete relaxation. If you slide open the full-length window, it’s like bathing outside. So run a hot bath, pour a glass of chilled Waiheke Chardonnay and feel the breeze on your face. (Sleeps 2)

Whareto - 'Apartment'

The Whareto Apartment, with a private entrance, is a place to completely relax from a busy world. This stunning two-bedroom and two-bathroom apartment has everything you could desire, and more.

Its position, high above the lodge and other suites, allows for stunning views of the Hauraki Gulf from the lounge and both bedrooms — the outer islands, yachts and cruise liners. Inside, the apartment’s soft natural tones, with hand-plastered walls, create an ambience totally at one with the natural Waiheke landscape.

The master bedroom leads onto a large balcony, with a dining table, seating and loungers — a fabulous spot to dine and watch the sun go down — and has a luxurious bathroom, looking out to the Gulf, with a rain shower and bath. Both bedrooms contain wardrobes — a walk-in for the master bedroom; a built-in for the second — and are furnished with luxurious super-king beds, which can be split into singles.

The spacious lounge and dining area is always stocked with freshly-baked cookies and is equipped with kitchen facilities — fridge, microwave, wine fridge, mini bar and dishwasher — though, you’ll probably not need them after you’ve sampled our chef’s mouth-watering cuisine.  (Sleeps 4)
