New Zealand Weddings – Dream Weddings
Imagine a picturesque view of the Hauraki Gulf, a sweeping staircase for the bride to descend. Luxury and beauty embracing you all around, champagne and waterfall making for perfect wedding photographs. The perfect setting for your dream wedding.
The Auckland Guide
Less is Delamore… Reminiscent of the romantic stucco buildings of the Mediterranean, the undulating, terracotta-coloured curves spill down the hill. Helping the deceptively large resort to blend into the environment.
At the northwestern tip of the island, we stopped at a massive set of wooden gates which opened to reveal a beautiful manicured property. Once the gates closed behind us Auckland could have been a million miles away. The ocean shimmered in the distance adding to the surreal feeling of being a world away. Save on departure tax, airfares, fuel surcharges, airport parking and head “overseas” to Delamore Lodge, it really is that good!!
It’s beautiful and intimate with one of the most stunning sea views. The spa treatments are terrific with special mention of the Lithos treatment – hot / cold stones which is just wonderful. Luxury Lodges normally do pretty good breakfasts but this one is terrific, laid out in the dining room is a wonderful selection of fresh pancakes and poached fruit, egg tarts, fresh pastries and fruit.

Delamore Lodge on Waiheke Island – walk to the front and the epitome of luxe is slowly revealed. Through the main areas, sculptures, fountains and bas reliefs all lend an air of elegant eccentricity. My favourite spot: the outdoor dining area, warmed by a big Mexican style fireplace and overlooking the sparkling blue Pacific.
Conde Nast Traveler
“The style is mediterranean meets Maori. The lodge’s shape was inspired by a matau, or traditional Maori fishhook (each suite has a curving stone-walled interior and a private patio); however, the muted sandy brown colour scheme is pure Tuscany…”
Rugby Stars Dream Day – Troy and Cherie’s fairy tale wedding… “Troy and Cherie chose Delamore Lodge for their wedding service because of the stunning views… ‘It has a very earthy feeling and a beautiful view over the water’…”

Blissing Out – “Tucked into a northern-facing Waiheke Island slope, the four-suite Delamore Lodge has views as expansive as any lighthouse. It’s Hauraki Gulf as far as the eye can see from this boutique retreat…”
